EUGENE’S NEW CITY HALL WILL SERVE AS AN ACCESSIBLE, WELCOMING CENTER FOR THE COMMUNITY, AS WELL AS A HOME FOR CITY GOVERNMENT. Phase 1 will be four stories, approximately 30,000 square feet and will include a public lobby/exhibit space, the City Council Chamber, the City Manager’s Office, the offices of the Mayor and Eugene City Council, additional meeting rooms, support space, parking, a civic plaza and landscaping. City Hall’s central location will contribute to the ongoing revitalization of downtown and help link downtown to future riverfront redevelopment, connecting “Willamette to Willamette” along 8th Avenue.

The project is off to a great start – meeting and even exceeding ambitious goals for the deconstruction process to reuse and recycle 95% of materials on-site. The deconstruction and demolition process is now complete. The portion of the site that will be the new City Hall is prepped for construction and the remainder of the site is being used for construction staging and temporary parking.

The schematic design was presented to City Council in July. Learn more about current design plans, the project schedule and budget, and other project news by going to the City’s website.
